While a spall liner itself does not contain ballistic properties on its own, when used in conjunction with steel body armor plates, it provides an unprecedented level of protection against spall. This spall liner is comprised of a special blend of para-aramid fibers that is designed specifically to capture spall (bullet fragments that are created when a bullet strikes steel).
Direction for use: Place the spall liner in front of the steel plate in your plate carrier.
*This product can also be used as a trauma pad

FAQs
What does a spall liner do?
A spall liner provides protection from bullet fragmentation and shrapnel that can happen when steel plates are shot. Typically spall liners are lightweight and cover the plates in the front to prevent any spall from injuring the wearer.
Does spall liner work?
While some steel plates now come with a special anti-spall coating, adding a spall liner is still recommended for additional spall mitigation and protection.
How thick is a spall liner?
Premier Body Armor's spall liner is a thin, lightweight, para-aramid (similar to kevlar) panel that adds very little weight or thickness to your steel plate loadout.
