The Viktos & ArmorSHIFT system is different because it provides a strong middle ground, resulting in a setup that is cheaper and lighter than a plate carrier, more versatile than a traditional bulletproof vest, and with some level of ballistic protection.
Viktos is known for designing clothes and accessories for tactical situations.
We have worked closely with them to create bulletproof insert options for each of their backpacks, available on our Viktos bundles page. When Viktos was working to develop the best chest rig, they asked us to come up with a way to incorporate some bulletproof protection.

First, how high should a chest rig fit? The top of the rig itself should align with the mid-chest. You should also make sure that the fit isn’t adjusted to a height that makes it uncomfortable to grab your gear. This is especially true if you are storing extra magazines.
Once it's at the proper height, adjust the side straps so that the rig sits snugly and evenly against your chest without being too tight. The goal is to distribute the weight across your torso. It should be secure enough to stay in place during movements, but not so tight that it restricts your breathing or movement.
