You get what you pay for with Premier, and this thin, hard 3a is the most concealable plate I've found (even more than their soft 3a because of the curvature). Combined with the year warranty instead of the usual 5 others offer, and the trusted brand, it's worth a few extra bucks for anyone trusting a life to it.
As far as I can tell it's just as thick as the mouth of the 5.7 casing in the pics, and 5.7mm ÷ Pi = 1.8143663512mm so the advertized 1.9mm thickness is, impressively, spot on!

This plate is super-light. In a light-weight carrier, the weight is no more than a winter jacket, about four pounds. think about that. two plates. two spall pads. four pounds.
