Compatibility
Front/back inserts from the original Everyday Armor T-Shirt (7.75×12.75″) are the same perfect fit for the new carrier pockets. Third-party panels or hard plates will not fit.

FAQs
Can I wear the carrier without side panels?
Yes. The internal side pockets make it easy to remove the side panels. Remove or add side inserts as mission or comfort demands.
Will I get one (1) or two (2) of the ballistic inserts?
You will get two (2) smaller, 6" x 6" panels for each side of the shirt.
Will my original panels really work?
The armor pockets for this shirt measure at 7.75" x 12.75" and 6" x 6" the exact size of the panels for the original shirt. The Everyday Armor T-Shirt panels are interchangeable with the Everyday Armor T-Shirt 360 Carrier. Slide them in, add the new 6×6 sides, and you’re fully upgraded.

Last week I participated in Boston's St. Patrick's Day Parade on my horse, dressed like Paul Revere. Given the current situation in Iran, my mother was quite concerned about safety. So, under my 18th century kit I wore my Every Day Armor Upgrade Kit including the t-shirt, the front and back soft plates and side plates. I was pleasantly surprised as to how comfortable it was! After trying out the shirt with the front\back panels and realizing how comfortable the shirt was, I ordered the upgrade kit and was not disappointed. It was more comfortable than i thought it would be. I would certainly echo the recommendation to size down one size when ordering. Consider if you will have an undershirt under this armored shirt (fits more snug and may be ideal for colder climates) or using this as a "base layer" (may glide against your skin a bit more so expect a little more movement). I noticed the side panel edges on my skin a little more than the front panels, at the right angle, they rub a little differently. But overall, super impressed with this product and yes, the front panels fit into the "upgrade kit"" with side panels if ordered separately.

I purchased the tee shirt with 360 protection. The fit is great and is completely comfortable. In all honesty its is the most comfortable body armor protection I have worn in my 40 years in Law Enforcement and US Military.

What's the caliber it can stop
Level IIIA is tested to the NIJ 0101.06 standard using these handgun rounds and velocities:
.357 SIG, 125 gr FMJ flat nose at 1,470 ft/s (plus or minus 30 ft/s)
.44 Magnum, 240 gr semi jacketed hollow point at 1,430 ft/s (plus or minus 30 ft/s)
That said, it will also stop many common handgun calibers that are below those threats, assuming the impact velocity does not exceed those NIJ test velocities and the bullet shape and construction are typical for the caliber.
