This custom-fit ballistic insert is specifically designed to fit seamlessly into the Vertx Everyday Fanny Pack (including the 2.0 and 2.1 bags), enhancing your bag with discreet and reliable protection. Measuring 4.5" x 8", the insert provides targeted coverage similar in size to trauma pads trusted by law enforcement professionals, protecting key vital areas such as the heart and major blood vessels when worn in the cross-body orientation.

Use a damp cloth or mild soap to spot-clean the Cordura® exterior. Avoid submerging the entire panel in water or using harsh chemicals, as this could compromise the ballistic materials.

If your panel comes in contact with excessive moisture or other substances, allow it to air-dry completely before re-inserting into your bag.

No, our backpack inserts are made with non-metal materials and are TSA approved, so you shouldn't have any issues during standard airport screenings. Always check with official TSA guidance and your airline’s policies for the latest information on traveling with body armor.

Works perfectly for what I need.

The reason I needed this armor was to protect my medical pouch on my vertex camo bullet resistant backpack. I know it’s not very important, but I figured I should protect my med pouch just in case because it’s life-saving equipment if it’s perfectly and covers the whole pouch. Unorthodox but it works, thank you.

Because My Fanny Pack Deserves Ballistic Protection Too

I picked up the Premier Body Armor soft armor insert for my Vertx Fanny Pack 2.0+, and I’ve got to say this thing quietly upgraded my EDC loadout from “prepared guy” to “prepared guy with side quests unlocked.”

Fitment is dead on. It slides into the Vertx like it was issued by some secret squirrel procurement department and stays put without turning the bag into a tactical brick. I was expecting something stiff and awkward that would print like I was smuggling a brick of….. around town, but nope. It keeps the low-profile look while adding an extra layer of “life insurance.”

Comfort-wise, I forget it’s even there. The pack still rides comfortably whether I’m walking around, driving, or conducting highly classified missions to Target with my wife. Mobility stays good, and I’m not waddling around like I’m wearing medieval armor under a fanny pack.

The best part is the peace of mind. Hopefully this thing only ever stops aggressive shopping carts and surprise attacks from rogue Lego pieces on the floor, but having armor integrated into your EDC setup is one of those “rather have it and not need it” additions.

I cannot legally conceal and carry on my country however it is a great addition to my emergency equipment to protect my family. Shipping was fast and reliable. I bought this to fit in my Vertx fanny pack as a cross body bag and it fits great! It’s lightweight but still sturdy enough to trust it’ll stop some bullets if God forbid I need it but it helps with peace of mind for sure.

Peace of mind

Recently I purchased several Vertx Everyday Fanny Packs. I bought these for my family because they look very similar to some of the fashionable name-brand fanny packs. It wasn’t until looking at the Premier Body Armor site that I noticed they actually sell an armor insert for Vertx products. Having a wife and three daughters I knew that something like this would be excellent for them. Not only do the panels fit perfectly, they are also level IIIA +. Having something that my wife and daughters will enjoy wearing and actually use, as well as knowing they’ll be protected (especially since they wear them across their heart/body, this gives me much needed peace of mind.
