I picked up the Premier Body Armor soft armor insert for my Vertx Fanny Pack 2.0+, and I’ve got to say this thing quietly upgraded my EDC loadout from “prepared guy” to “prepared guy with side quests unlocked.”
Fitment is dead on. It slides into the Vertx like it was issued by some secret squirrel procurement department and stays put without turning the bag into a tactical brick. I was expecting something stiff and awkward that would print like I was smuggling a brick of….. around town, but nope. It keeps the low-profile look while adding an extra layer of “life insurance.”
Comfort-wise, I forget it’s even there. The pack still rides comfortably whether I’m walking around, driving, or conducting highly classified missions to Target with my wife. Mobility stays good, and I’m not waddling around like I’m wearing medieval armor under a fanny pack.
The best part is the peace of mind. Hopefully this thing only ever stops aggressive shopping carts and surprise attacks from rogue Lego pieces on the floor, but having armor integrated into your EDC setup is one of those “rather have it and not need it” additions.
Tactical assessment:
Mission capability: Excellent
Concealment: High speed, low drag
Comfort: Better than expected
Operator status after installation: Increased approximately 37%
Likelihood of suddenly using words like “situational awareness” in normal conversations: Extremely high
Final verdict: If you’re running a Vertx Fanny Pack 2.0+ and want to add capability without sacrificing comfort or concealment, this insert earns a solid 5/5 tactical chicken tenders. Stay alert, stay dangerous, and maintain positive control of your snacks.
