Dr. Adam Shiroff, MD MBA, is an internationally acclaimed surgeon renowned for his expertise in trauma, surgical critical care, and emergency general surgery. He serves as a Professor of Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and responsible for teaching the next generation of surgeons. Through his interactions with medical students, residents, and fellows, Dr. Shiroff imparts invaluable knowledge and skills. He has further enriched the medical community with his lectures worldwide, specifically on chest trauma. As the chief editor of the textbook "Chest Trauma: A Practical Guide," and the author of numerous scientific articles, he is widely regarded as a foremost expert in his field.
Outside the operating room, Adam was raised in Las Vegas before he pursued his passion in Biology at the University of Michigan. His medical aspirations led him to Philadelphia for medical school, where he chose to establish his roots. He later obtained his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Adam is a dedicated husband and a proud father of four. His love for the outdoors sees him indulging in hunting, fishing, and camping activities, which he shares with his family, instilling values of independence and self-reliance. Not one to shy away from challenges, Adam is also a multiple Ironman Triathlon finisher, a fervent patriot, and a proud American gun owner.
