Detective Morris Elliott is a highly-motivated criminal justice professional with over 25 years of experience in the field. With well over 2000 hours of specialty training, he has received certifications in various areas, including hazardous device handling, firearms, and driving instruction. He began his career as a deputy in North Carolina in 1997, and since then, he has worked in different positions, including Patrol, Street Crimes Unit, Narcotics Bureau, Internal Affairs, and as a Hazardous Device Technician on the Bomb Team for 12 years. Currently, he is assigned to the Training Division of his local police department where he serves as a certified driving and firearms instructor.
Born and raised in North Carolina, Morris grew up working with his father in various automotive shops and even raced vehicles with him. He also developed a passion for firearms and competitive shooting, which he pursued over the years. Morris continues to enjoy the outdoors and spends most of his free time bass fishing on his boat or hiking and riding his motorcycle. He also runs a small business building custom fishing rods and does part-time work in a race shop with a friend on various projects.
