A: Not only is it rated to defeat M855/SS109 ("Green Tip") up to 3150 ft/s, but also the more advanced M855A1 at 3180ft/s!
Q: What’s the difference between Special Threat and Level III or IV plates?
A: “Special Threat” plates are generally lightweight and designed to defeat specific high-velocity rifle threats. Level III or IV plates follow a broader NIJ standard for multi-threat or armor-piercing rounds, but often weigh more and are thicker.
Q: Does the L211 plate work with any standard plate carrier?
A: Yes. With 10" × 12" Shooter’s Cut dimensions and a thickness of 0.69", it should fit most carriers rated for these plate sizes. Always check your carrier’s specifications.
